My daughter would say " it's not just about you Mumma" well today babe, it is!
If you follow me on socials you will know that I'm Neurodivergent in many chaotic forms.
I am & have been addicted/hyper focused to many things over the years, some not so good but I have finally learnt to throw out the shame (almost) & be unreservedly me. My counsellor, he will air pumping at that statement!
A few things that have always been a staple in my life are reading, addictivley of course! Creativity in abundance from textiles art to wall murals. Upcycling, repurposing, off on a tangent now but who remembers when jumble sales where a thing? Our first TV in 2000 was from one, it was massive & in a cabinet!! I used to buy furniture from the tip before salvage places exsisted. Got a dining room table for £2.50 & still going strong today 27 years later!
I love foraging for the ultimate find & not just physically. Sprituality I discovered as a healing process in the 90's. Started just doing gratitude lists, visualisation boards, sound baths & reading every book available... enough to build a magnifcient Welsh Castle. Trained in Reiki, Mediation,Crystals,Yoga & Tarot, I still use a lot of them today. Over my time as a stylist I was lucky enough to meet many people who worked in those industries, the universe drawing like minded people together. Then more importantly hairdressing, with many roles, jobs & experiences over the years.
Here are some of my favorite photographs that offer a glimpse into my life: I love this old photograph of myself, taken when I was approximately two years old. It's my Mum’s brother’s wedding picnic in the 1970s. Camping is another passion of mine, especially when accompanied by the exhilaration of a thunderstorm. My dogs, wild swimming & hiking are also sources of abundance for me.
Textiles & any creative ideas that pop into my mind. Believe me there's millions in my tiny space called a brain.
Thats me!
I may be silent or overshare, go off on a tangent & then forget what the conversation is about but I will listen to your aim & see you. Then we can endeavour to achieve your goals. Hair wise only... I mean I have my limitations!
I hope that you enjoy your time in my chair.
